Camp

my friend Andrew
Rebecca (our waitress)

So, camp was great! One of my campers receive Christ and another one of my campers was so intrigued about God. She wanted to know more about him.
I came home with two bee stings and a burn on my arm. It is healing well tho.
Just to be at camp, once again was amazon. It change so much. They added a worship every morning to the schedule, I learn the proper way to Cup Stack and I learned about Geo-cashing (which I want to do here..Just trying to find out locations here in town). Also, for the first time they had 50's night (to represent Highland Retreat Camp's 50 Anniversary). That was a blast! We were taking into a van and drive down to the lower camp and into a pavalin. We had a waitress take our order at the drive thru and then we ate inside. Another waitress on roller skates (my friend Rebecca) deliver us our food (burgers, chips, pickle, and soda).

Here is one of the new songs I learned at camp. Oh its so beautiful. It;s not on youtube, but I did find the lyrics. Here they are. Enjoy!:

Water Fall On Me

by Jonathan Reuel

O my savior I give you glory, My redeemer my God and king.

There is no one oh so holy, Like the one who sets me free.

I can’t think of anywhere anywhere I want to be more than with you

And I can’t think of anything anything I would rather do than give you glory

Come my savior on the clouds, Holy spirit speed the hour

I will shout out loud the message

“freedom is coming and the kingdom is now”

Let your rain come down all around, Let the thunder sound shake the ground

Let the waterfall pound breaking down, All the lies you found under me

Let the sightless see let ‘em see, Set the bound ones free, set um free

Water fall on me water fall I have sought your heart hear me call

O my savior I give you glory, My redeemer my God and king.

There is no on oh so holy, Like the one who sets me free.

I am here to speak the message, Tell the truth that will set you free

I proclaim freedom to the captives, Freedom to you in Jesus name

You can bow ,before the master, Find your shelter under his blood

You can come and be forgiven, Carried along in the crimson flood

Let your rain come down all around, Let the thunder sound shake the ground

Let the waterfall pound breaking down, All the lies you found under me

Let the sightless see let ‘em see, Set the bound ones free, set um free

Water fall on me water fall I’ve sought your heart hear me call

O my savior I give you glory, My redeemer my God and king.

There is no on oh so holy, Like the one who sets me free.

Let your rain come down all around, Let the thunder sound shake the ground

Let the waterfall pound breaking down, All the lies you found under me

Let the sightless see let ‘em see, Set the bound ones free, set me free

Water fall on me water fall I have sought your heart hear me call

Psalms 84-thoughts for the soul

ThinkOnITDevotions: Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You. (Psalm 84:4 NKJV) Staying focused on God no matter what’s going on around you causes you to see things from a different perspective. When you remember God knows what He’s doing, you can praise Him, even while going through a tough trial in life. David had plenty of trials in his life. If David could praise God in the middle of his trials, surely we can too.
What are you experiences with God when you were going through a tough trial? Did you praise God?

Trash happens??

Well guys, the most funnest thing happen tonight. You see Luke, our neighbors, and I were walking home from a nice long walk and something interesting happen when we reach our house..... My neighbor tacks our trash can..That right!! He just tackled it like a football player..just randomly!! out of no where comes our neighbor..and next thing we know, he on top of our trash can!!! It was so funny!! you should have been there!!

A walk to the park...

I have to explain this picture...So, Kim and I went for a walk to James Street Park and while we were walking around the track, a cute little dog followed us. I texted Luke and told him..we have a dog now!! :) but alas, we came to a fork in the road. He (the dog) chose the right path..I tried to convince him that the left path was way better, but he did he listen?? NOOOOOO... He left us for another couple! How rude!

On our walk we came across the world most largest worm....(okay okay..it was not the largest..but you have to admit..it is pretty HUGE!!!)

Discussion: Favorite Child hood memories/Camp memories?

So, as I was doing my devotionals this morning, God laid on my heart a camp memory that I long forgotten. Wow. It was incredible. So here it is:
I was a camp counselor for 8-11 years olds and each cabin was given a scripture to memories and perform on stage. We were given 2 Peter 1:3; which reads, "His divine power has given us everything we need for life & godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory & goodness".
Some cabins perform plays, some cabins song it, and others acted it out. Our cabin decided to rap it. That right..we dressed up as "gangstas" and rap 2 Peter 1:3. It was so funny! At the end, we had Carolyn yelled, "Run, the cops are coming" and we ran off stage!!

So, Whats your favorite childhood memories or Camp memories?
