I want to share a book that has helped me with my miscarriage. It called, "Grieving the Child I never knew" by Kathe Wunnenberg. Its a great devotional/journal book. I recommend this for anyone that has suffered through a miscarriage.

Tea Party

The Tea Party that I went to back in Sept. We dressed up in the 1800's. It was all the BASIC (brother and sister in christ-campus ministry at AU and ASC) girls that were invited to come and dress up. We also had brunch and took a walk to our paster's house to show them our outfits. It was quite the day.

These are a few of my favorite things...
Here are a few things that I'm very thankful for in this Fall Season
1. It's Fall, my favorite season
2. For the cool, crisp breeze that blows through my hair
3. Apple picking season-The smell of fresh apples from Lains and being able to can apples this year..yum..I just love it.
4. Grape picking season-I would never forget the day that Traci and Teresa took me for the first time to pick grapes. I would say that since then, I try to make it a once a year to go do it. If you never experience the smell of fresh grapes in an orchard, you are missing out on something wonderful.
5. Leaves-All the beautiful and assorted colors. Nature is so colorful. There is nothing like walking through a bunch of leaves that crunch under your feet.
6. Thanksgiving is on it's way-this means Luke and I take our annual trip to Mass to see my parents. I'm always curious to see what my mom has in store for us when we get down there. And this would be the first time I get to see my niece since she was born.
7. Luke's homemade donuts with hot apple cider-they are quite yummy (Lain's make good donuts too, but Luke's is slightly better)!
8. Snow-Yep, since living in the North East, we always expect to see snow in October. I learn to be okay with it.

Mission's Trip
Well, I would say that the Mission Trip was a success. Our team went down to a Camp in Bergton, Va (for those of you who didn't know). Our mission statement was to help share the Gospel through drama. We did this by building positive relationships with campers and staff as well as participate in servant projects and other camp activities. That is exactly what we did.
Our team was doing two set of skits. The first set of skits were for the older campers and the second set of skits were for the younger ones. For the older campers we did a variety of skits. One of our drama skits was called "Friends Tell Friends". It was about two girls (Leight Ann and I) who shared alot of stuff, but it wasn't until College when the one friend (me)finally told the other friend (Leigh Ann) what really matters most in her life and that was a relationship with Jesus Christ. In the scripted I continued, "You see you really do have to be careful out there because we live in a messed up world". This skit shared how much we really needed Christ to come died for us. In another skit, we shared with the campers how to Go Through Trial's GOD Style. Our team showed the campers how to do in from a water rafting course. For the little campers our team acted out some bible stories. Everything from Adam and Eve to even the story of Ester. Our team also managed to teach the younger campers some sign language (to John 3:16).
For our servant projects we did things around the camp. Everything from weeding around a major bath house to cleaning all the bugs out of the lights of the pool house. We even found a mount of baby spider while cleaning the lights. We also shredded so much paper that I think I'm going to dream about it for ages!
And last but not least. You can't forget about chopping our wood and making our supper fires. I think Edith master fire building 101. Laurel also made a pretty mean bon fire. We even got Pop Pop to chop some wood. Let me add that making spaghetti over the fire turns out really well. I really enjoy eating my food over the fire.
So all in all, the mission trip was awesome.

Challenge to all you Bloggers: Challange #1
So, I would like to challenge all you bloggers out there. I would like to know what is one of your favorite quotes. It can be a funny one, sensitive one, or one that just shows your character. So, have at it??
So, I came across this one yesterday and really like it. It is from Lizzie McGuire (yes, yes I know, but when I was a teenager.. I LOVED it)!! To me, I believe it is sad but true. Here it is anyways:
Gordo: [to Lizzie] Parents scrape and sacrifice to provide us with shelter, support and guidance, and in return, we have as little to do with them as possible. It's nature's law.
Miranda: Yeah. It's like you come home and they ask, "What did you do today?" and we say "Mmm, nothing." And they ask, "Well, what are you doing tonight?" 'n we say, "I dunno!" And they ask, "Why don't you ever talk to us?" We say, "Why can't you just leave me alone!" And you run upstairs.
Gordo: As little communication as possible. It prepares us for marriage.

Asking for prayer!!!
I would like to ask for prayer for a family close to us (The Kurtz's). Two days ago their son (Billy) and his family got into a car accident. Billy passed away at impacted and their daughters and his girlfriend was sent to the local hospital. Their one daughter (Morgan-8 years old) had serious brain damage and we found out today that she passed away. The girlfriend and her other daughter sustained minor injuries. The news and police suspect there is alcohol involved but are doing further examination. This is extremely hard on their family because their eldest daughter passed away 20 years ago from a drunk driver. On top of all of this Billy's brother (Joe) was supposed to get married this Saturday. Please keep them in your prayers!!
